Owen (watching people walk by holding iPads): This blows. Why should we have to suffer without an iPad just because we're holding out for 3G?
Desmond: I wonder what life would be like if we had gotten the wifi model?
Desmond imagines a hellscape with horrible monsters bearing down on him while he's holding an iPad.
Owen: What did you see?!
Desmond (crying): I couldn't check my tweets on the bus!
I had a vision for an revolutionary and magical new comic strip. Time and time again, Paul came back to me with comic strips that were fairly revolutionary and somewhat magical, but I sent him back to the drawing table with notes saying "More revolutionary. Like, Ché revolutionary" and "Magical! Like Disney! MAGICAL!"
Finally he wrote and drew today's strip, which I think we can all agree is sufficiently advanced, technologically speaking, so as to be indistinguishable from magic. As for revolutionary, well, suffice to say by the time he was done there was blood on the streets.
And yes, I am waiting for a 3G iPad. And yes, I hate the pretenders walking around enjoying their lesser models.
